Homework Huddle – Program Information

Who:
Students in Grades 3–8 (approximately ages 8–14)

What:
Homework Huddle is an after-school academic support program providing structured homework assistance, tutoring, organization skills, and academic coaching. Students work in a quiet, supervised environment that promotes focus, accountability, and positive study habits. Snacks are provided to help students recharge after the school day.

Where:
Sewickley Community Center

 

When:
📅 Days: Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday
⏰ Time: 3:30 - 5:00 PM 
(Weekly during the school year)

 

Cost:
💲 Free 
(No student is turned away due to financial need)

Students (Grades 3–8 | approximately ages 8–14):

Homework Huddle provides students with a safe, supportive place to complete homework, receive tutoring, and build strong organization and study skills. Students are encouraged to ask questions, stay focused, and build confidence as they work toward academic success. Snacks are provided.

Parents / Guardians:

Homework Huddle supports families by offering reliable after-school academic assistance in a supervised environment. Parents and guardians can feel confident knowing their child has access to homework help, positive role models, and structured support that reinforces accountability and school success.

 

Mentors / Tutors / Guidance Counselors:

Mentors, tutors, and guidance counselors play a vital role in supporting students through one-on-one and small-group academic assistance. Volunteers and staff help reinforce positive learning habits, encourage goal-setting, and provide guidance in a calm, encouraging environment.
