About this Program

The Young Lions Program is a youth development and mentoring initiative designed to empower young people through leadership building, character development, and positive role modeling. The program provides participants with structured guidance, mentorship, and skill-building activities that promote confidence, accountability, teamwork, and personal growth.

Through mentorship sessions, group activities, and experiential learning, Young Lions helps participants develop essential life skills such as communication, goal-setting, decision-making, and responsibility. The program emphasizes respect, discipline, and community engagement, encouraging youth to recognize their potential and take pride in their growth as leaders.

Young Lions is committed to creating a safe, supportive environment where youth are challenged to grow academically, socially, and emotionally while building meaningful relationships with mentors and peers. The program aligns with Sewickley Community Center’s mission to uplift youth, strengthen families, and foster a strong, engaged community.

The Young Lions Program empowers youth through mentorship, leadership development, and character-building activities. Mentors and coaches serve as role models, guiding participants through leadership lessons, group activities, and real-life skill development. Volunteers help reinforce positive behaviors, encourage goal setting, and create meaningful connections that support long-term youth success.
